Thank you for visiting my photo gallery! It is here that I intend to
showcase my best images.
My interest in photography has its roots in my late teen years,
when I was given an inexpensive Minolta 35mm package as a birthday gift
from my parents. The pictures I took with it were rather uninspired and
unimpressive, primarily because of my lack of any practical knowledge of
the workings of cameras.
After my father (who was an avid amateur photographer) passed away, the
Nikon F3 outfit he'd put together over the previous five or six years came to be
mine. I used it only occasionally for nearly ten years, taking pictures of
anything from flowers to airplanes to drag racers. I used the F3 to complete
a few college-level courses in photography (though I can't for the life of
me find the images I took) and grew to enjoy the camera.
In early 2003, I decided to part with my father's F3 film camera and step up to
a new digital camera body. I purchased a Nikon D100, which I used quite a bit
until I purchased my second digital SLR, the Nikon D200. I find that I've used these
two digital SLR cameras more in the past four years than I ever used the F3,
probably because I don't have to develop any film! Now, with the new D3 in my
hot little hands, I hope to advance even further in technique and skill!
This gallery is where the results of my advancing knowledge will be placed. In
addition, I will post some of the best results of my semi-professional ventures
in photography.

I haven't been behind the camera very often lately, though I have added a new sub-gallery to my Sports gallery. It has several pictures I took during a ballet demonstration prior to my daughter's first dance recital. During the event, I worked
on techniques to capture clear images in very low-light situations. Other than that, I have sold several copies of my Dodger Stadium HDR on eBay, and I have been asked to contribute an image to an upcoming 2009 Calendar.
